I’ve lived in eight states, all of them progressively further north. At this rate my nursing home will be above the Arctic Circle, even though I really HATE snow.
I graduated from the University of West Florida with a BA in History in 1999. Since then I worked in fields ranging from radio to construction to law to finance, and currently working as a scrum master, a job that sounds made up but totally isn’t.
Once I escaped the cult (oh yes, there’s a story there, coming to a bookshelf near you as soon as I can bear to relive it in my nightmares) I began writing and editing. In 2004 I won the Maumee Valley Writers’ Conference Short Story Contest and I’ve been going strong ever since! In 2013, I won the “My Secret Lansing” contest in the Micro category. Yes, I won a tweet contest. Yes, the irony of me not having a Twitter account has not escaped me. Since then I’ve been writing an submitting short stories, which you can find at the Find My Work link in the corner.
